Amanda GallagherAmanda G. Gallagher, RN, BSN –
Executive Director

Amanda comes to Spring Village at Dover as Executive Director with over 20 years of management experience. A Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Hampshire, she began her career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. After several years working in administrative roles in pediatric and OB/GYN offices, she was hired by WoodBine Senior Living as a Nurse Manager for their 76-bed assisted living facility in Meredith, NH. Woodbine soon discovered Amanda’s strong skills in leadership, fiscal responsibility, advocating for residents and families, and oversight of day-to-day operations. She was promoted to a dual role of Executive Director/Director of Nursing, a position she successfully held for over six years.

Since last being involved with WoodBine, Amanda has continued to hone her skills in leadership and management as a Director of Clinical Admissions for Concord Regional VNA, Care Manager for the Senior Service and Senior Psychiatric Service units at Lakes Region General Hospital, and most recently, as an Administrator in the Asssited Living Unit and Nurse Manager of a duly licensed skilled/LTC unit specializing in Memory Care for Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord, NH.

Amanda is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Business Management, and yet still finds time to ride a Harley, boat on Lake Winnipesaukee, and spend quality time with her husband, three kids, two dogs, two cats, a bunny, and a hamster.


Barbara AndersonDonna Anderson –
Business Office Manager

Donna shares thirty years of experience working in the healthcare setting along with a diverse background in customer service. With her knowledge of the greater Dover area and our community, it is a sure promise of a smooth transition for residents and families coming to our community.

Donna is committed to providing the best possible experience to our residents, families, visitors and employees. When Donna is out and about she is enjoying all the Seacoast has to offer with her family and husband of thirty-one years.



Maria Sherman –
Move-In Coordinator

Maria has been in the healthcare field for the past 8 years, most recently working at an assisted living and skilled nursing community specializing in Alzheimer’s. She comes to us with 30 years’ experience in property management and real estate. Maria was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Northern NH. After earning her degree in Business Management, at Plymouth State, she moved to Colorado for 10 years where she specialized in new home development. She then moved back to NH where she continued her Real Estate Career specializing in Commercial Real Estate.

She worked locally managing the registration department of a hospital and 4 off-site locations for almost 7 years. There she discovered her love of working within the healthcare industry. Maria also serves on the Board of Directors of the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.

Maria is the mother of 3 children, 2 of which are in the United States Army. She is bilingual in Spanish and lives in Dover with her daughter and partner of 12 years and 2 cats. She is expecting her first grandbaby in May.



Jacki Brewster –
Memory Care Director

Jacki has used her degree in Therapeutic Recreation to work with a population she adores, seniors, in a variety of settings including adult day, rehab, long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living. In each of these settings, she has been particularly drawn to people with a dementia diagnosis, believing in their ability to continue to live a good quality of life, even if it is not the life they expected. The desire to help led Jacki to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner and seek a position as a Memory Care Director. Jacki is thrilled to have found Spring Village at Dover where the philosophy of a “serving heart” matches her passion to serve those with dementia and their families.

Jacki and her daughter own a house in Berwick, Maine, where they share their home with her 7-year-old grandson, two cats, two birds, six dogs, a rabbit, and a pot-bellied pig.


Ben EllisBen Ellis –
Maintenence Director

Ben Ellis has worked in the maintenance field for 20 years. Specifically, he has 15 years’ experience in healthcare-related environmental services and facilities work. He strives to ensure the comfort and safety of our residents, their family members and employees.

Ben was born in York, Maine and worked in his family’s business. After 10 years he decided that he needed to find a career that made a meaningful difference in other people’s lives. Working in the memory care environment provides Ben with the opportunity to help others, provide for their well-being and enjoy learning about their lives.

Ben has three grown children and lives with his wife in southern Maine. When not working, Ben can be found at the beach surfing, hiking in the woods or riding his bicycle on the backroads of Maine.
